Shifts in the Board of Directors and new reference shareholder

Due to his very busy activities and European expansion at Aedifica, Stefaan Gielens has regretfully had to resign as member and chairman of the Board of Directors. We would like to sincerely thank Stefaan for his clear input in the further fine-tuning of the strategy and for helping Forum Estates on the way to converting into a GVBF (or REIT) and in the long term into a GVV/SIR (or RREC). We also wish Stefaan every success in further developing Aedifica into a leading European RREC in healthcare real estate. The Board of Directors is now looking for a replacement for Stefaan.

In mid-November, thirteen solid properties, leased to, among others, the brands ‘Hubo’ and ‘Gamma’ were brought in. Most of these buildings are located in Limburg. The seven Hubo’s are operated by the well-known Limburg Group Heeren, and the three Gamma’s are rented out to Gamma Belgium. The ‘do-it-yourself’ industry is a fast-growing sector and particularly resistant to e-commerce.

In the coming months, a number of properties that fit less with the strategy will be divested. As a result of this transaction, Forum Estates’ equity grows by EUR 18 million, and annual rental income increases by EUR 2.4 million. Given that Tom Heeren is now a major reference shareholder, it was decided at the EGM of mid-November to appoint Tom as a director of Forum Estates. Welcome, Tom!
