First Panos in growing E-commerce resistant portfolio!

Today the purchase of a property leased to Panos in Ostend was completed. This purchase is entirely in line with the strategy of Ulvenhout Retail Invest Fund, which focuses on the growing segment of Foodservice.

This store is prominently located at the Ernest Feysplein 16 in Ostend, on a corner, and close to the marina. The lease of this property has just been extended for another 9 years.

We are pleased to welcome Panos as a tenant in the fast-growing E-commerce resistant real estate portfolio of Ulvenhout Retail Invest Fund. In the retail market, we notice a clear blurring between the concept of ‘Food’ and ‘Foodservice’. Many neighbourhood supermarkets are also increasingly giving its customers the opportunity to grab a quick bite or drink in the store. Moreover, with an (inter)national ‘brand’ as a professional framework, the Foodservice market continues to expand, and these places are increasingly becoming meeting places or places where people work or hold meetings.

Following foreign trends, today’s consumers are increasingly ordering or taking their lunch or snack away from home rather than preparing it at home. This explains the growing success of chains such as Boulangerie Paul, Pain Quotidien, Exk, Panos, Starbucks, Quick, Lunchgarden, etc. Ulvenhout Retail Invest Fund now has Boulangerie Paul, Quick, Point Chaud, Lunchgarden, Domino’s Pizza and now also Panos in its portfolio. This makes this type of real estate investment extremely future-proof and e-commerce resistant.
